Warner Bates will once again host the Guardian ad Litem Program of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. This year, the event will be held at Riverwood 100 Building on Thursday, August 20, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
In three years the event has raised approximately $50,000 for the Guardian ad Litem Program, which in 2012 had faced the prospect of discontinuing its services after losing a grant from Fulton County.
Sponsors for this year’s event include: Fulton County Daily Report, IAG Forensics, Network 1 Consulting, Paces and Vine, Professional Document Services, Signature FD, and State Bank.
Since 1990, AVLF has operated the Guardian ad Litem program in the Fulton County Family Division. The program offers training for private, volunteer attorneys to represent children from low-income households in Fulton County who are the subject of contested custody battles.
